Fun Fact:

Ever wonder why poodles look the way they do?

Poodles were bred to be hunting dogs and valued for their ability to retrieve and work in water.

The poodles long hair hampered their swimming abilities, so the hair was clipped except hair was left on the chest and joints to protect them from the cold. When french nobility became interested in the dogs, they made an art of clipping the hair in fancy styles.  Poodles hold second place in dog intelligence ranking.
